Profile
Novelist’s Cottage is a luxury Georgian property in Alnwick, originally built as a school in 1810 by the second Duke of Northumberland to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of King George III. The school closed in 1921 and subsequently became the local library which has now been lovingly refurbished into four luxury properties.
Situated in the medieval market town of Alnwick, Novelist’s Cottage is within walking distance of some lovely restaurants, bars, and luxury independent shops. Local tourist attractions such as Barter Books, The Treehouse Restaurant, Alnwick Castle and Garden are also close by.
The mezzanine bedroom and en suite on the first floor overlook the spacious open plan lounge and dining area, and with a bedroom with en suite on the ground floor, Novelist’s Cottage provides the perfect couples retreat.
The cottage has a small lawned area to the rear and off street parking for 1 vehicle. 1 well-behaved dog is welcome and free Wi-Fi is offered throughout.
