Profile
Here at Norfolk Coast B&B Cottages & Camping, we were once a working dairy farm, during our renovation from farm to holiday resort we have maintained our country farm feel not only in the interior decoration of our accommodation but in our laid back atmosphere. We have strived to create an environment for relaxation and getting back to nature, our location is dropped down from the road, giving us some protection from sea breezes, giving us privacy and giving us a sense of being far from the hustle and bustle of local life.
We are in a fabulous location with the beach just a 2 minute walk away. Hunstanton is just 3 miles away and the RSPB Snettisham is only 6 miles away along with a 10 mile dog-friendly footpath. There are plenty of walks and woodlands nearby including the Sandringham Estate.
Norfolk Chalet at Norfolk Coast B&B Cottages & Camping we have four chalets available in Heacham, near the seaside town of Hunstanton only two minute walk from the beach!
Pebbles
Sandy
Misty
Cockles
They have each been designed to capture that farmhouse old world charm with rustic wooden features and throughout all of our Norfolk chalets we offer cosy, single-storey accommodation with an en-suite including a shower, toilet and sink and kitchenette area for cooking. It has a 1.0m x 1.5m skylight so that you can gaze at the stars while you rest, a luxurious double bed, an authentic stable door and a window looking out over the sunrise. Each property has an outside breakfast coffee table where you can sit and enjoy the country air whilst reading a good book or anything your heart desires.
These chalet seaside holiday rooms offer a prime location on the beachfront of England as a true traditional chalet farm holiday, surrounded by fields of rural countryside and a fabulous unspoilt beach.
Norfolk chalet itself is nestled just behind the coastal path and therefore shields the view of the static caravan sites to the north of our location and allows us to look out towards the south of open farmland. This view coupled with the large windows will allow the glow of the sun as it sets over the horizon to break its way into your beach holiday chalet and paint it in spectacular deep orange colour, or if you wanted to our venue is just a 3-minute walk to the beach so you could easily go view it in all its glory. Down the road in the other direction is the first local shop which is also only a 3-minute walk away from that stocks all sorts of supplies including lots of meals, ingredients, tasty goodies or beach toys so that you never have to worry about forgetting a thing and have your holidays ruined. Norfolk chalet doesn’t get much better than this!
Norfolk chalet is perfectly placed to explore the unspoilt, rolling countryside of the Norfolk coast with miles of scenic trails and footpaths on our doorstep. The traditional seaside town of Hunstanton is also within a short 5-minute drive or lovely scenic 3 mile walk along the coast where you can spend an afternoon walking on the beach, visiting the resorts and all it has to offer or treat yourselves to a fish and chip supper. The upper end of Hunstanton Town and its older area is now known as Old Hunstanton is where you can find a variety of pubs to sample some great real ales and craft beers not to mention a host of restaurants and delis that serve food using locally sourced ingredients. For those looking for a little more history and culture, the old villages and towns have plenty to offer with relation to notable figures of the past and rock formations dating back millions of years old.
We are lucky that the large majority of the land around us is the Wild Ken Hill Estate, which is a rewilding project focusing on returning 1500 acres of Norfolk land back to nature letting it become wild again. The project will also be re-introducing populations of wild animals to the land some of which will include beavers, cattle, wild boar and encouraging birdlife such as kites, barn owls and more. The rewilding project includes the reworking of freshwater marshes to encourage birdlife from local RSPB Snettisham to populate the autumn wetlands found along the coastal path. This area is easily accessible via the Coastal Footpath by the beach and is practically on our doorstep!
Please report to Reception on arrival between 3pm – 8pm where you will be shown to your accommodation. 1 Review on “Norfolk Accommodation - The Stables Self Catering Chalets in Heacham | Dog Friendly Holiday Accommodation”
We were one of the first to be able to stay in The Stables, these self-catering chalets are beautifully decorated and very cosy. There is a big skylight over the bed for star gazing, very romantic, the bed was new and comfortable. Outside there are views out over the countryside, the beach is just a couple of minutes away. They are also dog friendly and welcomed our pooch and provided a bed. We had a lovely couple of days away and would love to return again in the summer, the stables are great for a beach holiday on the Norfolk Coast. Nigel & Carol are great hosts and know loads of places for great dog walks too!
